Spotted! This summer’s hottest hair trends at the (almost) royal wedding

Congratulations to the happy couple! Yes, today Pippa Middleton and James Matthews officially kicked off wedding season in style.

In attendance was royalty, semi-royalty, and fashionista gentry.

And if you have if you have important dates in your own diary lined up over the summer months, the (almost) royal nuptials certainly gave us all serious insight into a load of up-and-coming wedding trends.

Frocks, fascinators… and HAIR here we come!

  1. The Duchess Of Cambridge

As VIP guest #1, Princess Kate did not disappoint. Looking effortless elegant, the Duchess chose a loose knotted chignon tucked under one of her trademark wide-brimmed fascinators.

2. Mirka Federer

Down-dos were the dominating trend of this wedding and no one showed off this exquisitely simple style better than Mirka Federer. Wife of Roger, Mirka wore her thick locks in loose waves. We LOVED it.

3. Princess Eugenie

Princess Eugenie completed her retro outfit by sweeping her shoulder length hair into curls beneath a white pillar box hat. Really flattering and simple.

4. Tallulah Goldsmith

The Middletons’ 14 year-old cousin, Tallulah, wore her strands poker straight. Accompanying her father, Gary Goldsmith, the icon-in-the-making looked stunning while maintaining an age-appropriate style.

5. Katie Readman

Model Katie Readman stood out from the crowd in her oh-so cool pink jumpsuit. She wore her hair long, loose, and made a strong statement with her purposely “un-styled” look.

6. Camilla Campion-Awwad

Socialite and philanthropist Camilla Campion-Awwad won the wedding fascinator stakes! She dazzled with lightly curled locks under her 30cm-tall, feathered extravaganza.

7. Claudia Bradby

Jewellery designer Claudia Bradby went for a full-blown boho look, wearing her hair straight, under a navy fedora.

8. Donna Air

Actress Donna Air may have raised some eyebrows with her choice of dress colour, but her hair was completely on point: a tucked-back bun which she topped with an off-white fascinator.

PS… Princess Charlotte

A final honourable mention to the tiny tot, Charlotte, who already looks like she’s inherited the Middleton’s enviable luscious locks!

Of course, the only hairstyle that truly mattered was that of the bride, Pippa Middleton. She opted for an utterly gorgeous side-parted chignon.

This classic style perfectly complemented her dress, tiara, and veil – and her completed look rightly ensured that the bride was the centre of attention for the day.
